More than a yoga practice, return to steadiness
STHIRA is a Sanskrit word that means steady, stable, and grounded.
To us, steadiness isn’t about standing perfectly still. It’s about remaining connected to yourself when life feels uncertain. It is the ability to breathe before reacting. To listen before pushing. To stay present instead of living on autopilot. Everything we teach begins from that place. Not achievement. Not performance. Just steadiness.
Why Sthira Exists
Modern life teaches us to move faster. To do more. To stay busy. To measure our worth by how productive we are. Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped noticing our own bodies. We ignore exhaustion until it becomes burnout. We ignore tension until it becomes pain. We ignore our breath until anxiety reminds us it’s there.
Yoga, for many people, has unfortunately become another version of the same cycle.
More poses. More intensity. More performance.
STHIRA was created to offer something different — a place where yoga is not another task to complete, but a practice of coming back to yourself.
Our Philosophy
We believe yoga isn’t about collecting postures. It’s about cultivating awareness.

About the Teacher
Yogeshwari K, Founder, STHIRA
My relationship with yoga didn’t begin from a place of balance.
I came to the practice like most people do — as another workout. I completed postures without really understanding them. And after every class, the same question stayed with me:
“Was my alignment actually correct?”
That question changed everything.
I stopped chasing more postures and started spending more time in fewer of them — listening, observing, breathing. The practice stopped being about flexibility. It became about awareness.
That is how I teach today. Not to help you perform better. But to help you feel at home in your own body again.
My Teaching
My classes are rooted in Classical Hatha Yoga, inspired by the Bihar School of Yoga. Each session combines asana, pranayama, meditation, deep relaxation, and anatomical alignment — in small groups, with personal guidance.
My Credentials
10+ years of practice · 2+ years of teaching
Certified Hatha & Kundalini Yoga Teacher
Certified in Applied Anatomy for Yoga

Credentials tell you where I learned. The practice itself continues to be my greatest teacher.
A Final Thought
If you leave STHIRA with a deeper backbend, that’s wonderful.
If you leave with greater flexibility, even better.
But if you leave with the ability to notice your breath in the middle of a difficult day…
To soften your shoulders without being reminded…
To listen to your body instead of overriding it…
Then we’ve practised something far more valuable than yoga.
We’ve practised coming home.
